If you are unsure whether an issue is a grievance, do not hesitate to submit a statement. You are not expected to know the contract or grievance procedure. It is always better to reach out early(within 14 days of incident is best) so the Union can review the situation, provide guidance, and determine whether action is needed. Asking questions and reporting concerns helps the Union protect everyone’s rights.
